Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a martyr who dedicated his life - and ultimately gave his life - to fulfill- ing his dream of racial equality and understanding among all people. It is therefore only fitting that we honor his legacy through remembrance, activism and a continued commitment to making King's dream a reality. Most importantly, however, we must not focus on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day as the sole time for honoring this great man and reflecting on how each of us may contribute to the fight for racial justice. King didn't pursue his dream only . one day a year, but every single day of his life.
