IT'S ALL ABOUT THE LATE, GREAT
This week, Weekend, Etc. brings you our picks of the cream of the crop for
arts in 1994 - and there are a few surprises. Take a look at how our film
staff lauds the breakthrough artists of independant films and the great
impact they had on flimmaking in the past year. There was so much good
music in '94 that the music staff kept changing their top 10 lists -right up
until the time of printing. Theater saw the "year of the revival" with old
favorites like "Show Boat" and new ones like "Passion." And perch
yourself beside Kirk Miller on the couch-potato express as he works real
hard to find 10 redeemable shows from 1994 as well as 10 worthwhile
books with (don't you just get the feeling this guy just sits in front of the
TV reading books?) Hope we hit on some of your favorites!
Have a good Weekend!
