To celebrate, organizers have planned a variety of events to be held Nov. 14- 18. "We've got quite a full agenda set up," said Director of Union Programs Arthur McViccar. Scheduled events are intended to be fun for students, faculty and alumni alike. The start of the anniversary cel- ebration will be marked by the string- ing of maize and blue lights through the Union landscaping. The lights will remain up throughout the year. The "Treasure Hunt" is an event for students only. The Treasure Hunt, a trivia question contest, will start Nov. 14. Each day, three questions will run in the Lost and Found section of Daily classifieds. Twelve total questions will run. Participants with the most com- plete answers will win. Prizes include cash awards and round-trip plane fare. Nov. 14 Building tours will be offered at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. They will start at the Study Lounge entrance. A computer disk holder give-away will take place in the first floor lobby 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 15 Anniversary cake will be served in the first floor lobby, beginning at 10 a.m. Building tours will be given at noon and 1 p.m. *Nov. 16 The Michigan Union Memories Table, an event geared to faculty and alumni, will be held in the first floor lobby from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event involves the solicitation of "favorite memories of the Michigan Union" from faculty, staff and others in the community. Students are also wel- come to share their memories. The memories will appear in a display in the Union. Building tours will run at noon and 2 p.m. ® Nov. 17 The Anniversary Reception will be held in the University Club from 4- 6 p.m. Food will be served. There will be opportunities to mingle with Uni- versity regents and President James J. Duderstadt who will attend the recep- tion. The reception is being held in conjunction with the unveiling of the Presidents' Wall. The wall will display photographs in commemo- ration of all past University presi- dents. The unveiling will take place at 5 p.m. across from the Michigan Room. "The wall is the realization of a lot of hard work on the part of Michigan Union Board of Representatives," McViccar said. The daily building tours will run at noon and 3 p.m. * Nov. 18 Students should turn in their final guesses for the Treasure Hunt to Dana Measel, Room 1310, Michigan Union.
