LUSCiOUS JACKSON They wowed you at Lollapalooza, and for good reason. Ben
Harper opens the St. Andrews show at 8 p.m. Tickets are a measly $7 in

JUDITH SLOAN & THE KLEZMATICS Mix modernjazz with traditional Jewish dance
music and this is what you get. Should be interesting. Their 2 shows at the
Ark (7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.) cost $12.50.
LAURA NYRO You may not know her by name, but her influence can be heard
in many hits from bands like Three Dog Night and Earth, Wind and Fire. She's
playing a 7:30 p.m. and a 9:30 p.m. show at the Ark. The price is $17.50.
VERVE PIPE It's rock from East Lansing, but it's still rock. The Blind Pig
JES GURU If you haven't heard any rock lately, you can come hear some at
Rick's. The Lollipop Guild is also coming to distort your childhood memories
of what it meant to be a munchkin.
THE MICHAEL NYMAN BAND He wrote the award-winning soundtrack to the
"Piano." If you are among the many who saw the film and ran to the music store
to get in on the mystique, you won't be disappointed. They're coming to the

THINKING FELLER UNION LOCAL #282 They're on the Matador label. Find out if

34TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON ORGAN MUSIC begins today and runs through
Wednesday. Events include recitals, lectures and workshops. Today's public
events include the Autumn Festival of Choirs at Hill Auditorium beginning at
4 p.m. and a guest recital by Rejean Poirer at the Blanche Anderson Moore Hall

34TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON ORGAN MUSIC continues today with a student
recital by U' organ majors at the Blanche Anderson Moore Hall beginning at
11:20 a.m., a faculty recital by Kristen Johns, horn and Michele Johns, organ
at the First Congregational Church beginning at 4:30 p.m. and another faculty
recital by Robert Glasgow at Hill at 8 p.m. All three shows are free.

GIRLS AGAINST BOYS AND COP SHOOT Cop D.C.-style agnst. If you didn't catch
