The Michigan Daily - Best

4F

Professor: Ralph Williams

EVA'N PETIE~/UDiIy
Professor Williams won Best Professor. We wonder - divine intervention?
TIME TO STORE YOUR
WINTER CLOTHES
Don't ship your clothes home this spring. We'll store

Ralph is an entertaining and dynamic
lecturer (the hands! the hands!), but
we must mention two of our favor-
ites, Dan Fader and Peter Bauland.
Hmm ... is it a trend that all the cool
profs are in the English department?
Course: History 218 (The Vietnam
War)
We hope to see Professor Collier
teaching this one again soon. When
it's offered in the early evening, and
people still take it, it's got to be good.
Blow-off Course:
Communications 103
As a tribute to Professor Campbell,
attend his last lecture. Because he is
leaving the University, there's no tell-
ing who could wind up teaching this
course, and making it harder.
Residence Hall: West Quad
Anyone who voted in this category
has clearly never spent any time in
Alice Lloyd (which should have
won). Or West Quad. Actually, maybe
West Quad's location, near both the
Union and the Daily offices where
ballots were collected, has something
to do with it.
Sports Team: Basketball
Yeah, we still love 'em, even without
the NCAA title and even without
Chris Webber. (Though we wonder if
the football team would win this cat-
egory if this issue were done in the
fall.)
Michigan Athlete: Juwan Howard
So he doesn't have a cool name like
Shonte Peoples but at least his police
record is clean.

Biggest Disappointment:
The Beatles "Reunion"- As John
Lennon continues to turn over in his
grave, his three former colleagues,
under a ludicrous spell of nostalgia,
are continuing with their plans to
record some songs for the upcoming
Beatles documentary. Harrison,
McCartney and Starr should not have
even entertained the idea, let alone
made it reality. Their use of the
Beatles' namesake cheapens one of
the most important legacies of rock
'n' roll history.

EVAN PETRIE/Dally
Folks wrote in their votes for "the Bash" while waiting in line for munchies.

Stop in and check out our MUZE! It's a computer that will
search out the hardest to find music... and our special orders
now take only two days in most cases! ...it's in the House!

The Grad also got a lot of votes for
"Best Place for a Secret Rendezvous."
So the"question has to be asked - did
it win for the large selection of books,
periodicals, government docs, etc... or
because of rendez potential?
Best Consruction: Randall Lab.
The second coolest hole in the ground
next to Michigan Stadium.

Sure you're studying. Yeah. (See
above for explanation of skepticism.)
