'rr' i ws 800OFc 9vrA W" I: i i --aw I Ever try to dance at Rick's? Sure it has good sound, but that basement fraternity party atmosple7 7jus doesn't work for us. And getting up and trying to boogie in the aisles of Ashley's will only get you booted. For great dancing in Ann Arbor, there's the Nectarine, period. Had we arrived on campus 15 years earlier, we could have shadow danced all night at The Bananas Disco. The disco era apparently boomed in 1979, enough to rock an entire club. Why it died, we'll never know. We just know that it's time to rebuild. This is America! The hotbed of capitalism! The Nectarine must not be the only scavenger in its field. Until they rebuild the Bananas Disco we can gather nightly on the Diag and conga on down -- with Banana's in our hearts, and the Coba Cobana in our memories. See you there.
