Themsymposium, sponsored by the University's Environmental Law So- ciety, will feature several speakers, including Marc Ebbin from the U.S. Department of the Interior. Ebbin will discuss President Clinton's adminis- trative vision for endangered species protection. This symposium has been con- structed as a means to examine the act itself and its future once the reautho- rization is decided. Various panel dis- cussions and debates will center on ecosystem and conflict management and the evaluation of the ideas pre- sented throughout the day. Guest speakers include Univer- sity of Chicago Law Prof. Cass Sunstein, Georgia Tech philosophy Prof. Bryan Norton and University alum Mark Rey from the American Forest & Paper Association. "This is an important piece of leg- islature and some important issues are being discussed so hopefully this symposium will continue the discus- sion," said SNRE Prof. Steven Yaffee, who will bemoderating thefinal panel discussion on the reaction to Ebbin's speech. The National Wildlife Federation will be represented by Suzanne Jones and University Law Prof. Mark Van Putten.
