While many of the more well-known Washington types enjoyed sumptuous meals with their
families Thursday, the Capitol building stood desserted. However, its East Lawn was bustling with
activity and sharing as the Center for Creative Non-Violence hosted its annual Thanksgiving feast
for the homeless and poor. This event yearly feeds hundreds of the needy that often go forgotten in
our nation's capital.
