The annual Uni-
versity of Michigan vs.
Ohio State University
"blood battle" is back
for its 12th year. The
event is sponsored by
Alpha Phi Omega na-
tional service fraternity
in conjunction with The
American Red Cross.
Volunteers will be tak-
ing blood from Univer-
sity students and fac-
ulty in various dorms
around campus for the
next two weeks.
Last year Ohio
State stole the trophy
from Michigan, but this
year, Kara Pacis and
Jennifer Spekman, the
coordinators of this
year's drive, hope to
bring the trophy back
to Michigan. The award
ceremony will take
place during half-time
of the Michigan-Ohio
State football game
next Saturday.
