"The lusty life is back." When was it ever here? The answer is 27 years ago in the Daily.
Please note the candid photo -- a manly man frolicking with a couple of sexy frauleins.
Apparently, this is one of those cases where once you "uncork a flask of Pub Cologne,"M you had
to beat them off with a stick. And the innkeeper had to lock up his daughter. Whatever.
On behalf of all of us at Weekend etc., this is our tribute to Alcohol Awareness Week. Beware of
what cologne you wear.
But seriously, unless you've been living under a rock, you know that sex in advertising sells.
Apparently Revlon got tired of marketing lip gloss, and decided to go for a racier campaign -
men's cologne. Tankards clashing and bawdy songs ... Whew! We're getting warmer already.
All for a mere- $3.75 to $10. Not a bad price for the smell of stale cigarettes and flat beer. Oh
baby.
