Ann Arbor is a place for activism, if it is a place
for anything at all. The virtues of every cause -
from homelessness to hemp legalization - have
been expounded upon through the years in this
city. Virtually every day during the academic
calendar, one can spot someone preaching,
marching or gathering for the furtherance of
some agenda or idea.
Few cities have the political panache of Ann Arbor.
By just roaming the colorful streets, one can truly
develop an ideological identity after taking in all
sides of an argument. Four years of exposure to the
brand of activism found in this city can serve to
expand one's mind and realm of opinions in ways
not possible in most communities.
