Write for Weekend etc.
Grunge rock, rapanclreggae may be well over your parents' heads, but every generation has their particular
quirks. Twenty years ago, the Daily put out a call for "Flamenco Freaks." For a nominal charge, a well-
renowned flamenco guitar instructor could give you a private lesson (no Spanish lover sex jokes, please).
Imagine your dad strumming flamenco favorites on his six-string acoustic, suggestively waving his matador
cape and your mom dancing with her castanets with a seductive rose between her lips. So, they think we're
crazy when we show them the stuff we listen to these days?! Just yell "Y arriba" the next time you're home,
and see their eyes light up.
