A FEw Goon MEN Nominated for Best-Picture, this lighthearted military epic stars hunky Tom Cruise in yet another film where he struggles against the ghost of his father. FIRE IN THE SKv A "true story" of alien abduction. Why do space aliens only visit hicks in the middle of nowhere? With D.B. Sweeney as the ill- fated hick. At Showcase: 1, 4:10, 7:30, 10, 12:15. MARmIED To IT Made three years ago, then forced to sit on a dusty shelf while Orion was filing for Chapter 11, this film about marriage- yeah, we're shocked too- should probably have stayed in permanent dormancy. With Cybill Shepard. Showcase: 12:20, 5:10, 7:50. OPPosnE SEX Courtney Cox, the girl that Bruce Springsteen pulls out of the audience at the end of the "Dancing In The Dark" video, makes a movie. This film explores relationships between men and women. No shit. At Showcase: 5. POImT OF No RETURN John Badham's remake of that popular Eurotrash film, "La Femme Nikita." Starring Bridget Fonda (yawn), Gabriel Byrne (yawn), and acting demi-god Harvey Keitel, who steals this pointless sequel in the first five minutes (hooray!). At Showcase: 12:30, 2:55, 5:20, 7:50, 10:15, 12:25. A RIVER Runs THROUGH IT Robert "Leatherface" Redford directs another stunning tribute to the American family. Hands down Oscar winner for Best Cinematography. Though somewhat sappy, its rich, bucolic honesty makes it worthy of every award it wasn't nominated for.
