Yes, everyone knows that Lou Holtz wound down
the clock in order to preserve a tie with Michigan.
Very few, however, know why. Coach Holtz needed to
save his strength in order to be in sound mind and
body when he sent in his college picks to try and win
Griddes.
All you need to do is pick the winner in these 20
games, and drop off your ballot by Friday at the Daily
in the Student Publications Building at 420 Maynard
Street. The person who picks the most correct games
