Contrary to popular opinion, the kinds of people who play these gamnes are not all members of the 'nerd' stereotype. Game:guild is a conference on the Michigan Terminal System where all kinds of people interested in role-playing games, paintball, and many other events can set up times to meet, play and socialize. An all male organization also comes to mind when one thinks of gaming. Yet, one female member of game:guild said that she was "surprised at how many girls were gainers." Her stereotype had been shattered. While men outnumber women in the University's game:guild, the women are accepted as equals.
