The TVC course is: a learning experience that takes you away from the routine of lectuies and exams, a chance to make a differ- ence in someone's life, and an opportunity to learn from life itself. TVC is a new course dedicated to serving the needs of illiterate adults, youths at risk, homeless people, and elderly people in need of support. You might, for example, choose among teaching reading skills to a prison inmate or an adult learner- workinQ at ahnmlec Plan for Vblunteering! Wish you had volunteered this term? Happy with the volunteering you did? Plenty of volunteer opportunities begin or continue next term. All you need to volunteer is be dedicated to working a few hours a week. As you are visiting CRISP, thumbing through pizza-stained time schedules, and wondering which classes to choose for Winter term, think about volunteering and plan it into your schedule. Free up a few hours a week to work with children, improve the environment, or assist with any of a dozen other concerns. Then check in with the S.E.R.V.E. staff early; many groups offer training sessions only once a term. Volunteer - you will be glad you did!
