V The University of Michigan Union UNION North Campus Commons December 3 to December 9,1990 MICHIGAN UNION TICKET OFFICE Pianist Victor Borge will perform at Hill Auditorium on Wednesday, December 5 at 8 p.m. This concert is presented by the Office of Major Events. Los Angeles Times critic, Mark Shulgold, said it best, "Victor Borge is one of thee funniest people in the world - the come- dian/pianist had the assembled multitudes, including the orchestra, in stitches and rolling in the aisles. One couldn't help being amazed at the man's undiminished vitality, show- manship, and musical skills." Eight-one year old Borge falls off the piano bench and the audience roars. He goes through a be- wildering array of slapstick maneuvers, punctuated by salvos of helpless laughter. Few pianists spend more time not playing the piano than Victor Borge. Borge has been not playing the piano for years and entertaining audiences around the world. The Great Dane has an awareness that a rare musical talent has earned him riches only through laughter. Concert tickets are available at the Michigan Union Ticket Office. To obtain ticket information, or to charge by phone, call 763- TKTS.
