But Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders presented his linemen last year with watches for the holes they created. Would the Wolverines' big men like a present? "No, we get presents from looking at the scoreboard," Skrepenak said. "We know we've done our job when a back has that type of game. Put it this way, the linemen would like a pair of old panty hose: big holes, long runs. Not Sheer Energy, just Vaughn's Leggs. Itafian 1Staurant X Let Mama Rosa cook for You. She played an insturmental role in founding the women's program at Michigan in 1974. She is stepping down from her position at the beginning of 1991 after serving for 13 years. "I think she's been a tremendous asset to the program, women's basketball coach Bud VandeWege said. "She's been here from the beginning, and we've really come a long way." Despite the incredible growth of the program over the last decade, it is not Ocker's nature to be satisfied with the past. There are things she would like to see after she has retired. "The most difficult thing has been the lack of support from the students," Ocker said. "We've made a real effort to get students to become spectators at women's sports events, and our attendance is still low." Raising attendance will be just one of the goals of Ocker's successor, who has yet to be named. While she will not take an active role in the selection process, she is confident that, because of her coaches, the transition process will be a smooth one. It is because of Ocker's efforts that when, years from now, the time comes to retire, people will actually know her successor's name.
