ACADEMIC YEAR: Sophomore ELIGIBILITY: Sophomore WHY: In one of college hockey's more beautiful displays of fighting (since there hardly ever is any), Tamer knocked the helmet off of Bowling Green's Liew Ncwana during the second period of Friday's game at Yost Ice Arena. He then delivered a few blows to the face before holding his jersey with one hand and banging Ncwana's head against the boards. Tamer received a game disqualification and will miss Friday's game as a result. The Wolverines scored three goals after Tamer's fight. Tamer established himself as a definite heavyweight contender in the CCHA, if there was any question after last year.
