In honor of Tad's second appearance this year, the Daily Arts staff is giving YOU a cut-out of the man, the band and their toys in the great outdoors. Put it on your door while playing loud grungy guitars like Tad does. Or glue it (sniffing it while you paste) to your notebook to scare your professors. Sub Pop's biggest group appears at Club Heidelberg with Ann Arbor's own Ward (bigger than Chris Cornell and featuring members late of the Herb Tarlicks) on Saturday with doors opening at 10 p.m. Show starts at10:30 p.m. Tickets available at Ticketmaster outlets for $8 (plus the evil service charge) and at Schoolkid's Records, P.J.'s, and Play It Again. At the door, tickets are $7. Dead continued from page 15 This fall will be a busy time for the band. After the fall tour ends, at Madison Square Garden in New York they are off to Europe for the first time since 1981, where in some countries they and the Deadheads lucky enough to be there (can you tell I'm not one of them?) will enjoy the pleasures of venues with less than 10,000 people. Later in September they will release a pew live album, Without A Net, which will reportedly contain songs from this year's spring tour. After that, all sorts of plans have been rumored (like the rumor that had Phil leaving the band, which turned out to be a "bullshit lie"), it just goes to show you won't ever know what the Grateful Dead are going to do until they do it.
