The fun began when a random person, claiming to be Ira himself, entered the Daily and presented the infamous "Forget the Holocaust" letter to the Opinion editor for publication. Upon publication, though, the real Ira Goldstein was in for a surprise. After talking to a few infuriated callers on the phone, our hero, the real Ira, realized that he had been taken for a long, long ride. Back at the Daily, we called our investigative reporting troops into action and soon found out that the letter was in fact a farce.
