The following is a list of
student organizations aimed
at, but not limited to, students
of color, women, lesbian, gay,
and disabled University
students. This list is not all-
inclusive; you should consult
the Michigan Student
Assembly, individual schools
and colleges, or the
University's minority affairs

and student services offices
for more information.
Arab Student League
The ASL is a social and
cultural organization
gathering students from the
23 Arab states. It aims to
promote the cultural ties
between its members, and to
address the public for a better
cultural exchange.
Asian American
Association
AAA is a student organization
that promotes the social,
cultural, and political interests
of Asian Americans. AAA also

provides support for Asian
Americans by making
University services more
accessible, promoting
academic opportunities, and
discussing Asian American
issues.
Asian Business
Association
ABA serves the social,
academic, professional, and
cultural needs of Asian
business students as well as
other students interested in
the Asian business markets.
Black Business Students
Association
BBSA is comprised of MBA

and BBA candidates and others
students interested in
business-related careers. The
group assists students in
obtaining jobs, provides
leadership training, and
serves as a forum where
students can exchange ideas
with each other and with the
University.
Black Greek Association
BMSC was formed to
coordinate the activities of the
University's Black student
organizations with respect to
the media. The group
oversees the efforts of the
Black Perspectives newspaper

and the Black Affairs radio
program..
Black Student Union
BSU represents the
University's Black student
body, offering a source of
unified support for the
concerns, needs, aspirations,
and efforts of Black students
and organizations here. The
groups provide services and
programs designed to
enhance the academic,
cultural, and political
experiences of Black students.
BSU 'is open to all students
who personally identify with
and support the group's
efforts and goals.

Black Theatre Workshop
The workshop formed out of
the Black Theatre Workshop
class in an effort to promote
Black theatre on campus.
Students sponsor guest artists
and performing groups, and
perform plays on their own to
promote Black cultural
awareness through drama.
B'nai B'rith Hillel
Foundation
The Jewish student center at
the University, Hillel serves
the entire University through
a variety of programs and
provides housing and
support for 30 independent
student organizations.
