The Mathematics Department is spon-
soring the University of Michigan Math
Modeling Competition over the week-
ends of March 31-April 2 and April 7-
9. U-Mundergraduates, in teams of 2 to
4, will work on the solution of a prob-
lem that they will choose from a list of
four real-world problems. They can
use texts and computers, but not con-
tacts with persons outside their team.
Winning teams will share up to $300 in
