The official opening ceremonies will be Friday, January 13 from 4-6pm in the Michigan Union Art Lounge. The exhibit will feature paintings, drawings, photographs, prints, wa- tercolors and architectural models in celebration of January's desig- nation as Asian-American Aware- ness Month. "Expressions of Identity" is open daily, 7am-2am, Sundays 9am- 1am through the end of January. The exhibit and the Friday open- ing are open to the public. This art show is brought to you by Michigan Union Arts and Program- ming, of course. " In The Winter Term debut of Arts at Midday brings us U-M Music School student tenor Richard Knapp, accompanied by pianist Ted Wyman. Knapp will sing tra- ditional and contemporary songs. The concert will be held Thursday from 12:15-12:45 in the Pendle- ton Room of the Union. It's free and open to everybody. Representatives from community service agencies throughout Washtenaw County will be available with information about their agencies and the volunteer opportunities they have available. Opportunities to work with children, ado- lescents, adults and senior citizens in areas such as education, literacy, health care, art, domestic violence, mental health, and many others abound. Student organizations committed to com- munity service will also be there. Bring all your friends or your student group and do something of value together. Refreshments will be served.
