The Michigan Union Board of Representatives (MUBR), the advisory board to the Director
of the Michigan Union/Student Programs and North Campus Commons, is looking for 9
students to fill its open graduate and undergraduate seats for the 1989/90 school year.
The board is made up of students, faculty, staff, and alumni and plays an important role in
the study and improvement of the programs, facilities, and services offered by the Union.
The chair and co-chair are always students.
The coming year should see some exciting opportunities, including work on the North
Campus Commons expansion.
MUBR OFFERS:
Leadership experience
A direct working relationship with faculty, staff, alumni, and other students
Practical experience in policy setting, public relations, and long-range planning
An opportunity to develop an understanding of and rapport with a
wide variety of individuals and groups
Applications are available now at the CIC desk in the Union, at the North Campuis
Commons Snack Bar, and at the Burslov front desk. They're due February 17 by 5pm. You
can turn their in or send them via camp,,us mail to Linda Tucker, 1310 Michigan Union 1349.

Al Howard, bass, pupil of U-M Professor George Shirley, will

Don't miss this. Al will sing on Thursday, February 9 from
12:15-12:45 pm in the Pendleton Room at the Union. Grab
some lunch at the MUG (hot dogs don't make too mn cy noise)
and come upstairs for some fine music.
The free, informal, half-hour Arts at Midday series and other
enriching cultural programs are brought to you by Michigan
Union Arts and Programming. This concert is only three days
away, but don't forget about it. Pin a note to your shirt.

the Michigan Union's Student Woodshop, located in the rear of the SAB3. The class costs a mere dollar.
