So she seeks comfort in a lesbian relation- ships while longing for a sex change operation that she feels will unite her body and soul. WINGS OF DESIRE (Wim Wenders, 1988) Michigan Theater 7:00 It's not easy being an angel, hovering over a city all day, reading people's thoughts, and not being able to interact with them. Espe- cially if you fall in love with one of them. Wenders explores Berlin in this way, working on many levels, successful on all. Peter Falk is terrific in his cameo as himself.
