Aid to Nicaraguan contra rebels has been a particularly sticky issue for Pursell. Pursell said he supports the Arias peace plan, but said, "You can't unilaterally pull out" because the Soviet Union will move right in. Pursell has supported funding re- search, specifically at the Univer- sity and said his committee ranking Continued from Page 15 "FEMINISM AND JU- DAISM: A RECONSTRUC- TIONIST APPROACH"- helps keep research funds flowing to the district. The University is among the top 11 in institutions receiving research funds. "The research level must be maintained, and we've got a proved record in that," he said.
