WORST PLACE TO TAKE A DATE:
Dooley's
Dooley's challenged Kroger's for "biggest meat
market" in this year's poll. The music is too loud and
too bad to talk over- that is, assuming you or your
date make it inside before being surrounded by lonely,,
horny football players looking for a "meaningful
relationship.",
WORST DORM MEAL: Any
This was a big "no contest." Except for the
Thanksgiving starch fiestas, the only thing to look
forward to upon entering these cafeterias is whether you
find the toy surprise in the Count Chocula. Yankee Pots
Roast, anyone?
WORST THING ABOUT ANN.
ARBOR: The weather
It's always breezy in Ann Arbor. In the spring, it's
delightful; in the winter, it kills. If this poll had asked
for the most appropriate T-shirt slogan, "IT'S
FUCKING COLD" would have won thermals down.

Evidently, our readers really weren't thrilled with
Steiner's January comments. In widely varied voting,
Steiner beat out his hired-hand boss, Robben Fleming.

WORST TIME TO BE IN THE
PENALTY BOX: Michigan vs. Michigan
State in mid-November
At the-end of the first period, Alex Roberts checked
MSU's Bobby Reynolds, leading to a brawl which resulted
in roughing penalties for eight players and game disqual-
ifications for two. Each penalty box reached its maximum
capacity as players on both teams were too close for
comfort.
BEST SWEEP: Michigan over
Michigan State later in the year
Payback time. For the first time in seven years and four-
teen series, the icers took two straight from the arch-rival
Spartans.
WORST LOSS: Michigan to Western
Michigan in the CCHA playoffs
In the third and deciding game, Michigan was blown out
10-0. Not 1-0. 10-0. Not 5-3. 10-0. 10-0!!!
WORST HAIRCUTS OF THE YEAR:
The Michigan hockey team
Before their upcoming playoff matchup against Western
Michigan, the players got crewcuts, and mohawks. Which
was uglier - their 10-0 shellacking or the new look?
