An operating budget of $1 million
a year is needed for staff, equipment
preparation, and supply expenses.
The laboratory will be used for
undergraduate research, but primaily
for graduate students carrying out
their masters and doctoral research.
The facilities are equipped with
state-of-the-art machinery which can
produce new materials for semicon
ductors and superconductors. There is
also testing equipment for evaluation
of the new materials and of trans
istors and circuits made with thes
materials.
The rooms provide the environ
ment needed for advanced research in
electronic and microelectronic mater
ials and devices, including sensor
