Ellen Barkin for police corruption. The heavy accents and the off-beat music, like Cajun food, all take getting used to. But once you do, it's easy to get swept up in the excitement. Intense and erotic. At State..(all week-- 5:15, 9:15) DIRTY DANCING Awkward teenage girl (Jennifer Grey) falls for Patrick Swayze, a workingclass dance instructor in Catskills resort in 1960s. MY LIFE AS A DOG A pleasant surprise from Sweden; a young child in a poor family tries to cope with life. At State. (all week--2:15, 7:15) 9 1/2 WEEKS It borders on pornography, and that's okay, as long as there's a story to tell. And there is; Kim Basinger, entranced into Mickey Rourke's sadistic world, tries to free herself from it. Some of the most incredibly erotic scenes to date can't make up for the lack of clarity in the story. We're mostly concerned here about the story, right? Well... At State.
