fe-en Up Re Pring Brea CORRESPONDENT JOE PISCOPO DAYTONA, LAUDER- ALE, PENSACOLA, DRE. HE STORY: Spring Break '87. in. Fun. Sand. Bikinis. )medy. Bikinis. No oks. Bikinis. No asses. Miller Lite. kinis. Get the eture? You'll have seaweed your jeans and sand your ears for weeks 'ter this fling. Make plans! Start )w- the Piscopo ay. Last year, myself, and long-lost relatives, ist German swimmer Alga Piscopo and o wrestler Python scopo, went to Spring eak. Here's our post- tme analysis. ITEM: Getting there. Bus. Train. Plane. Car. Camel. Armadillo. Do it your way! ADVICE: Make travel ar- rangements now. Char- ter trips available through your school are usually the best way, but are booked the fast- est. Commercial flights go quickly, too. Don't eliminate the bus. I did it my way (thanks Blue Eyes) - by car. Trou- ble was my car was a clunker. We made it as far south as Newark. Then it konked out. So Helga, Python, and I walked. It took six days! If you drive, keep an eye on the gas gauge. Run- ning out is no fun. So gas up, but don't get gassed on the road. ITEM: Staying there. Hotel. Motel. Camping. Con- dos. Cars. Alleys. ADVICE: We're not talking slumber party here. Plan on a max of four to a room. Call the lo- cal Chamber of Com- merce for more info. Don't plan on beach accommodations. It's against the law. ESSENTIALS: Money. Moolah. Bread. Greenbacks. Don't be a scrooge. Use travelers' checks to take the extra cash you saved buying used text- books. Expenses you'd never think of pop up. Little things like food. Plan a few real meals, in addition to the junk we all love. A good way to save on grub is to book lodgings with kitchenettes and cook yourself. You should try Helga's Bratwurst mit Roachenstrudel. Augsgezeichnet! (out of sight)! Remember, man, or woman, does not live by Miller bite alone! Leave the tux home. It's T-shirt and shorts territory. Python insis- ted on his snakeskin blazer, but he's strange. A sweater, wind- breaker or warm body will do at night. FUN: A good place to start is the nearest Miller Lite Welcome Center. Beer in mind, local gendarmes don't take Lite-ly to anyone bending their laws. They have ajob to do, so think twice before acting up. Last Spring Break, Python got a div- ing board, gym equip- ment, two maids, and various specimens of livestock into our room. He didn't mind when they made him return the articles because he got tired of chasing the alligators and wrestling the maids. AND NOTHING BUT THE PROOF: You might be able to convince a senile guid- ance counselor who you are, but don't take bar- tenders, doormen, or desk clerks for granted when asked for I.D. If you've got it, flaunt it; if not, you're in the wrong place. To earn your right to a Miller Lite, have at least two valid documents at the ready. Expect to be card- ed. Helga is flattered by it. Unfortunately, the picture on her Leipzig driver's license looks nothing like her. Must be that cigar she's al- ways chomping on. Have a de-Lite-ful trip and don't forget what Helga, Python and your favorite reporter have taught you. qj 'siiofitu sl p nlqag j ujIaaa pg jj ls unoqI -sdu pus sdols d 'ssus Slpt i oj am p salxa ppV alsiixuddu ans sagd asags1apo puoq soauvisp 8uisnp ,ui 'daq atuos sq l l-' pvl osi 'q~ia I g uiJ 15l JIoU slJ 'uOuIo ')IuIap noX uaqm l4 a "ipiq-l' a pusq'glno a nnlsAq am oil auas aql IV 11aMnss usanpoad no Xolia pu 'N aagH updS o lia 01noX siun llIW MIa il sI sllaq l5ansogl d ssoaanq o 5no amaaq Ug s 4I J1usoop 'asus S)15Na pjuu, 01a S5ofau lasuds 8uuso Ju sluslPapw snoilusasuoa susu 5p1od l oji oglOJ '''usai slIgqsuodso JAiJa huuaolomXus op noA Ji aanA5 ap5a0 -sap,,8uppuip-uou n )lad Mol ui aanod ao "up4uiJp ioi Ssd Xa11 m15p0 pUs suoissas huIuusi sql opo AlAO sp saM 1 qgsna ou sgaof 5o 'asl guoi su oj punois sq oi usld 'lllIWpus 'iflno5s aU s9sisssq oiloqloa aiaonj as n sl oJm uaXofuolulsop T uiudSaR ' 1 ' umsinoR Iiun lI's noR 'atofaq slulod 'asagi maqgu sua sulooals pJ5MOl apnillls sspp Sm q pouinm sq usa sm 3 o 11V *ll1it o mor405sia8puus swia ql panp sgooq sql otla f a01 si l usa uiodU HumO noA UoGIM IIUIUI "suoilssmlls, simm 5uitmoadn pus; soapiAa isnm 1S5151 atU 0i laopus) smalsod 'slsMol 's os.." ms"8 qsssq 15151110 moj mamp mapam pus susg aallI a1 ma AvS 85us8 sip qlIm usaisismnlaid mnoA sssq mpj uo Ivsa 8 uimdS aismomsmmwoo sannoX MouSIl loj mnoR Sq jar jj UIam uoq Tml55jHIM a5iu9 51015 1501A '41 'PUSIsI slwd ltpnoS nkI 'slvpmspns'1 lpod slA 'slosssuad TO kl saH suwolhsa SUOIJR3O1 NBeeiDU!WS dOIHI9 l VSAW8100J W3IOM JOINl lIYSONV'A1NOIN JU]HIONIJ
