Remember... Wally Teninga? In November of 1948, the Wolverines carried a 22-game win- ning streak into Columbus, Ohio. Not only did they have a Big Ten cham- pionship on the line, but a national championship was within their reach. It was to be the game when Wally Teninga became famous. "NO ONE in the history of Michigan football has been luckier than I have. To have played on the varsity at age 17 and letter for four years was a great privilege. I had a tremendous amount of respect for all of the players. It was an honor to be there when I was.
