Gee, for about a week there, people ac- tually thought we were going to have a good football team. Worst Football Game Michigan State 19, Michigan 7 Quarterback Jim Harbaugh was lost for the rest of the season to a separated shoulder and we lost to a bunch of agriculture majors from Muskegon. Best Basketball Game Michigan 69, Iowa 67, (3 OT) A classic. The Wolverines trailed by 12 at the half, staged a second half rally, led by the hot shooting of Gary Grant, to tie the game at the end of regulation. Finally, in the third over- time, Roy Tarpley hit a shot at the buzzer that sent Michigan dancing the lockerroom and Hawkeye coach George Ravelling chasing after the referee. Worst Basketball Game Indiana 87, Michigan 62 No question about this one. In the Wolverines' first nationally televised game of the season (ESPN), the Hoosiers thoroughly embarassed a sleepwalking Michigan squad by 25 points. Worse yet, the game was played during winter break, which means that everyone was dragging friends and relatives in front of the set to see the Wolverines suffer their worst loss at Crisler since it opened in 1967.
