Championship games will 'be taking place beginning Sunday af- ternoon and, if you have time, you might want to check some of the games out. They are guaranteed to be both ex- citing and entertaining. Call the IM of- fice for times and fields. Here are the Daily's predictions for the various IM Football division cham- pionships. FRATERNITY Mud Bowl fans will be happy to hear that the Daily projects a rematch of. that Homecoming rivalry between Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Phi Delta Theta. Of course, nothing is automatic since both teams get past rather for- midable opponents to make it to the final round. Sigma Alpha Mu should pose more of a problem for SAE than Phi Kappa Sigma should for the Phi Delts. However, when the two do meet _ Sunday, look for the Phi Delts to prevail, in the return engagement, though not by more than six points. RESIDENCE HALL Throughout the season there has been no clear-cut choice for the number one team in this division. This does not stem from a lack of talent; it merely reflects the parity that exists among the Residence Hall teams. Since this is the case, the pick for the champion becomes quite a difficult task, but one we here at the Daily will not shun. Rumsey Blue 'A' is the logical choice to garner the honors in the residence hall world of sports. It will not waltz to the IM crown, however. Gomberg, Gomberg and Taylor Blue, and Kelsey Roots stand ready and more than able to stand in its way. Look for a Rumsey Blue- Gomberg, Gomberg championship game this Tuesday night with Rumsey winning by eight. I M Roundup WOMEN'S Hunt House. There really isnt much doubt as to whether this team will win the championship, the only question is by how much. Its 22-0 shellacking of TKO proves their prowess. Who will oppose it in the final? The Neds. However, the Neds will be sacrificial lambs this Sunday on the tartan turf. CO-REC Hit n' Run is the choice to win it all here. However, it will meet a strong challenge from the Beaver Patrol. The Patrol blew by the Buccaneers Thur- night to advance to the semi's of the - playoffs. Hit n' Run will prevail in the final game, whether they play the Beaver Patrol or that perennial IM powerhouse, the Nitwits. The margin of victory will not be much though, and the final play of the game could be crucial in deciding the winner. GRADUATE/FACULTY/STAFF This' one is a three horse race between Minimum Contactm Phi Rho Lithopedians, and Dix. Minimum Con- tact is the highest ranked team in the Daily Standings, and it has put together a fine season, playing consistent foot- ball throughout. However, Phi Rho Lithopedians has been equally as con- sistent, and is the choice to win. It's a hunch, but an educated one. Dix is a fine team, but a darkhorse in the three team race. INDEPENDENT Beaver Patrol, Beaver Patrol, Beaver Patrol. This is the team that will win the Independent championship. It probably won't even be close. They blitzed past the Destroy All Bruisers squad Thursday night, winning by over 40 points. Destroy All Bruisers ate no quiche either, ladies and gentlemen. Of course, there will be some teams that will vie for the opportunity to come in second place. The Bruisers or the Brothers will most likely gain the honor of losing to the Beaver Patrol Tuesday night on the tartan turf. BILLBOARD That world of slam-dunking, skywalking, shot blocking and national television rebounding is coming back. That's right, IM basketball is almost here. Managers should be getting their teams together for the big season and should sign them up November 30, to December 2 from 11:00 a.m. to the 4:30 p.m. Al Maguire, Billy Packer, and Dick Enberg will be covering the roundball campaign as closely as Howard Cossell did football and George Kell did softball. IM wrestling spokesman Andre the Giant wants to remind all prospective grapplers that weight-in and sign-up for the IM wrestling tourney will take place at the Coliseum on November 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. REIENEIM Scores, RESIDENCE HALL 'A' Minimum Contact 8, Legal Soul 0 Taylor Blue 30, Oxford 10 Phi Rho Lithropedians 24, Wonkas 0 MMAC Raiders 20, Ambatana 12 Dix 8, DSD A 0 Rumsey Blue 22, Bursley Crush 2 Minimum Contact 6, Zillas Gorillas 3 (first downs) Huber Futher Muckers 8, Force 4 Strikes Back 6 Legal Soul 4, 9-0 Silks 3 (first downs) Third Palmer Punks 10, Raiders 6 CU/F/S 1B' Kelsey Roots Blue 26, Third Palmer Punks 0 Penal Action 14, Patterson Dental 0 Gomberg, Gomberg 5, Adam's Ants 4 (first downs) DSD B 6, M-1 hotshots 0 Alice Lloyd Pilots 18, Alice Lloyd A 0 WOMEN'S 'A' RESIDENCE HIALL 'B' Hunt A 22, TKO 0 The Dudes 26, Gomberg Red 0 Neds 16, MMB 0 Mojo Raiders 26, (BB)20 WOMEN'S 'B' Bartlett Binzers 8, Penquin Tide 6 Bush Bunnies 12, Pantheros 0 4th Jordan Center 6, Elliot Blues 0 Zeta Sheep 8, Sigma Delta Tau 0 Abeng Warriors 16, Futher Muckers 0 FRATERNITY 'A' Douglas Demons 8, Couzens A 0 Phi Kappa Sigma 6, Sigma Nu 0 4th Lewis 1, Blagden Braves 0 (forfeit) Phi Delta Theta 12, Evans Scholars 8 INDEPENDENT 'A' SAE 8, Sigma Phi Epsilon 6 Beaver Patrol 24, Crestwood Chargers 6 Sigma Alpha Nu 24, Phi Kappa Psi 0 Destroy All Bruisers 30. As the playoffs wind down, and only a select few teams remain in the running, only the most talented gridiron stars are still in action. The cream of the crop begin facing each other in championship contests on Sunday. This could be the Rose Bowl, the Super Bowl, and the Ken- tucky Derby all rolled into one. 1 The IM Roundup relates the ac- tivities of the Michikan intramural
