'PG' 12:05 8 0 MOVIE *** "The Hound Of The Baskervilles" (1959) Peter Cushing, Andre Jimmy Dean follows' bands into the Void R OBERT Altman's newest movie, Come Back to the 5 and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean, plays at a special benefit sneak preview tonight at 8 p.m. in the Michigan Theatre. The film, based on the Broadway play, tells the story of a distinctive James Dean fan club. Tickets are $5; proceeds go toward the University School of Opera Production Fund. Altman, director of Nashville, M*A*S*H, and other well-known movies, is currently serving as stage director for the School of Music's November 4-7 production of Igor Stravinsky's opera, The Rake's Progress. Also today, the annual musical ex- travaganza Band-o-rama features a number of the University's finest band ensembles. The symphony band, jazz band, concert band, marching band, and the Friars of the Men's Glee Club, perform at the 8 p.m. show at Hill Auditorium. This fund-raising event originated during the 1940s as an educational event for area junior and high school studen- ts. Tickets are $2-6. Finally, Schoolkids Records (523 E. Liberty) hosts the San Francisco rock group Romeo Void in a special autograph-signing appearance tomorrow at 6 p.m. prior to their con- cert with Billy Idol at Second Chance that evening. All are invited.
