Follow the exploits of your team, or chart the progress of your foes each Saturday as we feature the highs and lows of the en- tire intramural program. This week there was a scarcity of games. kick off IM Roundup The intramural track meets begin Tuesday September 21. Registration for any event in all categories will con- tinue Monday morning and will last up to the time of the meets. The schedule begins Tuesday with the Fraternity and independent divisons. Residence hall squads will compete on Wednesday. Both meets will begin at 4:15 p.m. Also on Wednesday, the Graduate/faculty/staff and the women's teams will run at 5:30. Thur- sday evening, the co-recreational meet will be held, which also begins at 5:30. All meets will take place at Ferry Field Track. Late registration is still possible for the IM tennis tournament which begins to day. Men can compete provided they register before 11:00 a.m. this morning. Women interested in playing can register for the com- petition at 11:00 am. today or tomorrow. The site for the tour- nament's will be the Palmer Tennis Courts. Masterbatters 9, The House by the Side of the Road 8 A four-run second inning led the batters to their first win. Third baseman Ed Valente clubbed two homers, and Matt Raphaelson contributed a pair of RBI's. Cocksmen 14, Chi Psi's No. 214 The Cocksmen triumphed as a result of the IM's tiebreaking system. A ten-run first inning got the Cocksmen off to a good start, as ten men in a row scored. Adam's 12's 10,;Elliott Grays 6 Drumm Osborn's first inning homer helped pace the 12's, who added three runs in the second and fourth to pad their lead. Blair Carlson scored twice for the Grays. Rumsey Blue 19, Alice Lloyd Wazoos 1 Rumsey's big Blue Bachine limited the Wazoos to only four hits and used nine runs in the first to coast over hapless Alice Lloyd. Fisher 'A' 17, Rumsey 13 Fisher rallied from behind with a seven-run seventh to defeat Rumsey. Kevin Scheck went two-for-two with a pair of walks and four runs scored, and Alan Blase added a two-for-three effort, scoring twice.
