Special to the Daily
DETROIT - The Detroit Tigers
broke open a scoreless game with four
runs in the seventh inning to defeat the
Boston Red Sox, 4-2, last night, behind the
six-hit pitching of Milt Wilcox. In ad-
dition to giving up just six hits, Wilcox
gave up only two walks and struck out
eight.
It looked like it would be a pitchers'
duel as both Wilcox and Boston starter
Mike Torrez sailed only until the
Tigers' seventh-inning eruption.
AFTER BILL Fahey led off the
frame with a pop-out, Alan Trammell
singled and then scored on Lou
Whitaker's double off the wall in left
centerfield.
Glenn Wilson then delivered the big
blow with a round-tripper to left which
sent Torrez to the showers.
Detroit picked up its final run when
Howard Johnson singled off Boston
reliever Mark Clear, stole second, and
came around to score on a single by
Larry Herndon.
Boston scored in the eighth on a
sacrifice fly by Jerry Remy and added
a run in the ninth on Wade Boggs' RBI
single.
The loss was the Red Sox' fourth in
their last five games, which all but
drops them out of the pennant race.
Robinzine found dead
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP)- Forward
Bill Robinzine, who was named to the
National Basketball Association's 1975-
76 All-Rookie Team, was found dead in
his car yesterday. Police said he ap-
parently killed himself.
Police said Robinzine, 29, the Kansas
City Kings' first-round draft pick from
DePaul University in 1975, apparently
died of carbon monoxide poisoning. An
autopsy was scheduled.
POLICE SAID Robinzine's body was
found in his car parked in a storage
shed at a rental storage area by a main-

tenance man shortly after noon Thur-
sday.
The 6-foot-7 Robinzine was reported
missing by his wife Wednesday. She
told police she returned home and found
Robinzine missing and a note indicating
he might try to harm himself.
Robinzine's best season with the
Kings was in 1978-79 when he averaged
13.4 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
He was traded before the 1980-81 season
to the Cleveland Cavaliers and later
played for the Dallas Mavericks and
Utah Jazz.
Robinzine became a free agent after
the 1981-82 season and had not been
signed by another team.
