In fact, there's one right here in Ann Arbor: Ruth Pickett, a 22-year- old senior member of the Michigan synchronized swim team. Pickett was one of the first midwesterners to receive the Broadrick Award for synchronized swimming, an award comparable to the Heisman Trophy in football.
