The Dodgers, winning their fourth league championship series, qualified to meet the American League champion New York Yankees in the World Series beginning tonight at New York. v LOS ANGELES WON the NL series, 3-2, splitting the first two games at home, falling behind by losing the third game here, then rallying to win the final two.
