POSTDOCTORAL POSITION available im-
mediately for an individual trained in phar-
maceutical sciences (physical pharmacy/phar-
maceutics) to study percutaneous absorption of an-
tiviral agents. Candidate must have a sound working
knowledge of the physical laws of diffusion (both
thermodynamic and kinetic aspects). The project

necessary for the candidate to construct quantitative
models which describe the absorption process in
terms of the chemical structure of the permeants
and the physicochemical compositions of the dosage
forms and the skin. The candidate thus should be
familiar with structure/solubility and structure/par-
titioning theories. Some familiarity with the proper-
ties of the skin and topical dosage forms would be

knowledge of scintillation spectroscopy and
separation techniques. No previous postdoctoral ex-
perience necessary. Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Scien-
