THEY SAID AGENTS quietly entered the basement of the building during the early morn- ing and were helping a couple and a boy who lived there to leave when shooting broke out. They said on one was hurt ex- cept the 10 slain guerrillas - eight men and two women. SECURITY AGENTS snid yes- erd:iy's raid turned up two So- viet-made machine guns, other weapons, shout $20,000 in U.S. currency and documents linking the group to libya and to inter- national Communist organia- tions. They did not explain what the documents said. One of those killed was identi- fied as imid Aihraf, whom the government had been seek- ing since 191 for alleged urban guerrilla activities. About three years ago, the Iranian government announced that Marxist anarchists had plotted to assassinate the shah and kidnap his family. Seven persons were sentenced to death. Two were executed, and the others had their sentences commuted to imprisonment. OFFICIALS SAID the motive in the kidnap-assassination case had been to force the release of political prisoners. A year ago, two American Air Force officers - Col. Paul Shaffer and Lt. Col. Jack Tur- ner -& were slain as they rode to work at the U.S. military mis- sion here.
