by the National Endowment for
the Humanities and the Council
on Library Resources.
The grant "will support a
large-scale test of the morpho-
line vapor deacidification proc-
ess for preserving books
through the use of a medium-
sized processor designed to
treat 50-100 books simulta-
neously"

But the study said air and
water pollution standards would
bring only a small cost increase
compared to the predicted rise
in household electricity bills for
other reasons.
THE STUDY said the average
family's use of electricity would
probably increase more than 50
per cent by 1985 while utility
rates could also rise even with-
out antipollution controls.
These factors alone may in-
crease the average household
electricity bill from about $25.60
per month in 1975 to about $70.80
per month in 1985, not counting
the effect of inflation, the study
said.
It estimated that the cost of
pollution controls would add
about $2.90 per month, less thaw
four per cent, to the total
monthly bill in 1985.

gy and Land Survey says 202-
more caves were found in Mis-
souri in 1975.
It is said the finds brought
