Streak ly The Associated iress BOSTON - Carl Yastrzemski lined a two-run homer and Luis Tiant fashioned his second shut- out of the season last night as the surging Boston Red Sox edged the Detroit Tigers 2-0 for their 11th victory in their last 14 games. Yastrzemski, who belted three homers in a game in Detroit last week, connected for his eighth homer after Carlton Fisk opened the fourth with a walk. Yaz went to the opposite field with an outside pitch and sent a shot into the left field screen. Tiant gave up seven hits, but stymied the Tigers while hiking his record to 6-2. Ie struck out eight, including Willie Horton three times, and didn't walk any. Ron Leflore extended his hit- ting streak to 27 games with a double down the right field line in the fourth inning. The major league's leading hitter went one for four in the game.
