Many people today are concerned about the destruction of our envi- ronment as a result of modern tech- nology. One such individual wrote "that if industry continues at its present rate, in 15 years there will simply not be enough energy pro- duction." At this point I agree. yet he states further that "nature fanatics" overprotected the environ- ment by forcing the shut-down of a nuclear plant for "shaky reasons." Personally I consider the safety of society to be more than a shaky reason. Granted nuclear power will be necessary eventually, but not before there are sufficient safe- guards; as yet, there are not. I would welcome any further com- ment upon the subject. It needs to be pursued, but not only by talk in the clssifleds. Debbie, c/o Box 21. Thanks for reading and writing. SPECIAL RATES for the weekend. Billards at $1 per hour.
