Baker issued a statement yesterday detailing his personal costs in investigating the possibility of declaring himself a Repub- lican candidate for the U.S. Senate. BAKER SAID he "feels any person who spends any money, either his own or other people's money, in examining the possi- bility of being a candidate or in being a candidate for federal of- fice, should both file as a possible candidate and report those ex- penditures to the Federal Elections Commission." Baker said he spent $7,357.31 between April and June, the bulk of it for political consultant fees. Expenses he reported earlier brought the total for the year to $12,222.29. Baker said he "would expect these amounts to be returned if and when a candidacy is declared, and fund raising committees are established" Join The Daily Staff kU - ANGEL PER SERAPHIM 9 PER 7 DISC A M DISC N EGERSHWINVauems: tw -iano arrangements S ro n inl ove$r from th8'30s and'40s. i" New Phi harmonia Orchestra-,Davies An American in Paris .Three Preludes- Oh, Lady Be Good , Embraceable You- Fascinating Rhythm .
