Howard on fiddle and Carl on mandolin take the leads on each song, and Ted fills in with chords as exquisite as his smile. Howard's tech- nique on fiddle is a joy to watch, bowing from the shoulder until things really start to cook. Meanwhile Carl is punctuatinq each phrase with a twist of his head. Vocals are shared by all three, with nobody singing the blues like Carl Martin does.
