Rentzel has been under probation after being convicted of indecent exposure and, on another occasion, for possession of marijuana. Pete Rozelle, commissioner of the NFL, made the announcement after the study of a record of a hearing in the NFL office June 20 . . . Minnesota strong safety Karl Kassulke was seriously injured yesterday when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car on I-494 in suburban Minnetonka, Minn. Kassulke, 32, was admitted to Methodist Hospital at St. Louis Park in serious condition with a fracture in his lower right leg; and injuries to his back and wrist. Surgery was to be performed on his back . . . and ramblin' running back Duane Thomas re- ported' to his new home yesterday when he showed up at the Washington Redskins' training camp at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa. Thomas met with head coach George Allen, donned some pads, and worked out with the other backs.
