Anti-Khomeini speaker enrages Iranian students (Continued from Page 1) Several Iranian students were allowed into the meeting, but most left before the discussion period of the forum. Some Iranians said they were intimidated by the marshals and felt they could not effectively protest. KHALIL, WHO SAID she was raised in a Muslim household, claimed Khomeini and other Muslim revolutionaries are oppressing Iranian women, homosexuals, and Iranian minority groups. "They (the Islamic revolutionaries) oppose the Shah because they lost the social power they had in Iran before," Khalil said. "Of course, they have to wear the veil," she said of many Iranian women. "They are very scared. They have heard stories from Koran about wht happens if they don't wear the veil." She said she adopted her present views while in school. Khalil added that Islamic women are never exposed to such an environment. SEVERAL IRANIAN students present said Khalil and the other SYL members were not aware of the true situation in Iran. They said Khomeini is actively supported by most Iranian women. K. Bearoz, who said he was barred from the forum because the SYL feared violence from him, claimed Khalil was not familiar with the Koran or the policy of Khomeini toward women. He said the Iranians have protested the forums in the past because they were not invited to expres their views on Iran. M. Abdoiah, an Iranian student, said many of the "freedoms" advocated by the SYL-such as homosexual rights-would "destroy the society." He also said the anti-Khomeini activists are connected with the CIA. DIRECT FROM NEW YORK BROADWAY'S MUSICAL HIT!
