Michigan scored one run in the top of the first against Grand Valley, and then could do no more as Julie Zyjewski went the route for the Wolverines, her season record falling to 5-6. The loan bright spots were Diane Hatch, who went 2-3 including her eighth triple of the year, and catcher Sheryl Tominac, who had a double in going 2-3. Michigan then had to beat Oakland to stay in the double elimination competition, and they did, as Theresa Gardocki hurled her thirteenth win without a loss this year. Outfielder Hatch was again the hitting star, turning in a second 2-3 effort at the plate. Men's Track The Wolverines will make their first home appearance of the outdoor season today, as they meet Indiana in their lone outdoor meet of the year.
