A GRAND SAVING
MOORESTOWN, N. J. QP) -
Virtually any company can
save $1,000 per job a year from
an employe productivity im-
provement program, according
to Science Management Corp.
The figure is based on an
analysis, of results achieved
from more than 1,700 projects
carried out by the productivity
improvement organization.
The biggest sources of low
productivity are overstaffing,
Inadequate supervision a n d
poor work methods, n 'o t e d
James A. Skidmore Jr., presi-
dent of Science Management.
"The problem is worse in the
white-collar sector of the econo-
my than it is on the plant
floor," he said.
